PILLARS TO HELP THE COMMUNITY

The Pillars to Prosperity Foundation, has identified Shelter, Education, Healthcare, and Financial Literacy as our philanthropic focus. Here are some examples of how we plan to help the community:

THE SHELTER PILLAR

  • Provide up-to-date affordable housing lists, and application information.
  • Fund short-term rental assistance programs for qualified individuals. 
  • Sponsor new home buyer courses to help individuals understand the home-buying process or help existing home buyers avoid foreclosure. 

THE EDUCATION PILLAR

  • Provide funds for teachers salaries.
  • Assist with obtaining computers and other technology for students learning from home. 
  • Provide legal resources for youth experiencing behavior issues, advocating for school re-entry. 
  • Help youth to avoid gangs and criminal activity by promoting after school programs, performing and visual arts training, summer camps, tutoring services, and special interest groups. 
  • Partner with schools and programs to encourage admissions to magnet, charter, private schools, day care and head start programs. 
  • Sponsor College Prep activities including SAT/ACT tutoring, traveling college tours, financial aid and grant counseling.  

THE HEALTH CARE PILLAR

  • Create a database for free/low-cost health care and insurance options.
  • Promote mental health awareness, and counseling services. 
  • Provide listings for affordable fitness programs/online classes for youth and adults. 
  • Provide listings of local farmer’s markets or community garden pop-ups. 
  • Provide listings of nutrition, healthy meal programs and cooking classes for youth, adults and seniors that promote healthy lifestyle and combat illness. 

THE FINANCIAL LITERACY PILLAR

  • Closing the Wealth Gap: Providing resources & tips for minority families to establish wealth/savings plans for future generations.
  • Stock Market Education: Understanding investments, portfolio management, retirement planning, and investing like the pros.
  • Insurance: Choosing the best policy for Life, Home, Auto, etc. 
  • Debt & Credit Counseling
  • Will & Estate Planning
  • Loan Management: (Qualifying, Interest rates, What Lenders Don’t Want You to Know)

    • Business Loans
